My Story
I am a Registered Nurse passionate about clinical excellence and mentorship in nursing. I have worked in Maternity Unit, Endocrine Medical Ward and currently in Critical Care. My nursing journey began in Kenya where a desire to be in the medical field sprouted in me after my late dad's hospitalization. Years laters, I obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology. I worked in Kenya briefly and relocated to the United Kingdom in 2019, where I practice to date. I have attended several short courses. Notably, The Windrush Leadership Program by Florence Nightingale Foundation. My greatest achievement has been offering structured mentorship to junior nurses and sharing my experinces on this blog. My future hopes for nursing is a profession where the old don't eat their young. Instead they teach them how to flap their wings and soar high in the sky.
